Gibberellic acid is a kind of plant hormone with the structure of gibberellin alkane ring which can promote plant growth. Gibberellin mainly through the leaves, twigs, flowers, seeds or fruits into the plant body, and then conduction to the growth of active parts to play a role.
Used as plant growth regulator, used in potato, tomato, rice, wheat, cotton, soybean, tobacco, fruit trees, etc., to promote its growth, germination, flowering, fruit. The most significant effect of gibberellin is to promote tissue growth and make the plant height increase obviously, especially the elongation effect on some genetic dwarf plants.
