Monobenzone powder also called 4-(Benzyloxy)phenl and mono benzyl ether of hydroqunone (MBEH) is an organic chemical
in the phenl family with the chemical formula C6H5CH2OC6H4OH.  It is used as a topical drug for medical depigmentation. 
Monobenzone is a colorless solid that is classified as the mono benzyl ether of hydroqunone. Monobenzone is soluble in
alcohol, benzene, and diethy ether, and practically insoluble in water.
